Packed with sleeping bags and waterproofs, a team of 15 spirited dnxers endured a night on the streets of Reading in aid of Action for Children. They joined hundreds of IT professionals in a sponsored sleep-out, braving the adverse weather conditions to raise awareness and funds to help tackle the root causes of youth homelessness.
Each year, at least 75,000 children and young people experience life on the streets. One in three attempt suicide and 1 in 7 young runaways are physically or sexually assaulted. To help them build better lives, dnx collected £9635.62 for the national children’s charity with a range of fundraising activities – including a Directors auction, car wash at the local school and pub quiz at the William Bray.
We’d like to thank all those who volunteered and donated. A worthy cause and great effort!
