A brood of runaway chickens provided some light entertainment for us all on Friday afternoon, just in time for the weekend.
We don’t quite know where they came from, it’s likely they’d just escaped from the house across the yard, though some of the avid KFC diners amongst us thought that they may have been a gift from The Colonel himself!
Either way, we admired the way they strutted their stuff in our courtyard and we’d have happily welcomed them into the nest had their owners not arrived to claim them, delightfully adding to the amusement by getting themselves into more of a flap than the hens! Next time we’ll have the Benny Hill music ready!
