Mat Johnson
Web Designer

Mat (with one 't') started his career working for an outdoor store as a salesman while he was at art college. During this time, he started to produce point of sale for the store, including swing tickets and posters. Over time, his output increased to include everything from business cards and stationery to carrier bags, all POS materials and eventually a website, together with all their online and print advertising.
Mat eventually left the store, lured by the siren song of self employment. However, when he heard about an opening at dnx, he jumped at the chance to work within a dedicated digital team and soak up some advanced skills.
If Mat wasn't in marketing, he'd love to be a rally driver, tearing through a forest. Sideways. At 100mph! Outside of work, he enjoys mountain biking, plus the "usual stuff" like meeting friends and watching films. He is a motorsport aficionado and is lucky enough to have been to several Grand Prix and touring car races.
Mat's never had what he would call a "strange" job, but he has dealt with some strange customers in the outdoor store. Our favourite examples include the woman who complained that her expensive new compass was broken because it constantly pointed north, and not 'the way she wanted to go'! Another classic was the man who brought back a pair of Levi jeans because they weren't waterproof! His argument was that everything in an outdoor store should be weather-resistant! Hmmm...
