Marketing was part of Rachel’s degree, so it’s good to know she’s using her education!
Prior to joining dnx, Rachel was a marketing executive at Bales, the luxury tour operator. There, she built up a huge portfolio of PR coverage, including a 4-page spread in the Observer’s travel magazine written by Stephen Merchant. She also managed all company events, including a suppliers’ dinner on Tower Bridge.
When not in the office, she spent time experiencing the Bales product, floating in a hot air balloon in Egypt, meeting Lonely George on the Galapagos and seeing the Big 5 in the Serengeti.
If she wasn’t in marketing, she once considered teaching, but…see below.
Out of the office, Rachel does all sorts of gym classes, including body pump, body combat, yoga and spinning. She also loves travelling.
Rachel once taught English in France for eight long months. Given the extreme poverty of the town she was living in, her role was more disciplinarian than teacher. Probably the most important thing she taught her beloved students was that dancing on tables is not appropriate classroom behaviour.
