Sam’s Dad is a photographer and she learnt about marketing whilst helping him out advertising photoshoots. Having learnt how it all works, she knew she’d like to be involved in some way
After university, Sam worked at a large sales promotion agency on a variety of FMCG brands, primarily Tetley’s (beer not tea) who were sponsors of the England rugby team. The team’s success at the time, most notably at the 2003 World Cup, meant they had loads of money to spend and Sam got to work with a lot of the lovely rugby boys!
Following a bit of freelancing, Sam landed at dnx.
If she wasn’t in marketing, she’d be working with animals or for an organisation like the National Trust. In fact, anything outdoors!
Outside of work, Sam spends time maintaining her huge allotment, shopping, going out for dinner and meeting friends. She used to have more spare time, but then she went and got married.
Sam once worked on a coffee launch where two promo guys were dressed in giant thumb suits (don’t ask why). However, the large pink thumbs didn’t really look like thumbs. They looked more like p (cont. p. 94)
