A Midsummer day's dream...
Today the Midsummer Solstice is upon us, the longest day of the year. From now on, it's downhill until Christmas. But if you didn't make it down to Stonehenge to greet the dawn this morning, don't worry. With just some home-brewed heather mead, some nettle muffins and The Wicker Man on DVD, why not hold your own Solstice celebrations in the privacy of your own home?
Gearing up for Glasto with Millets
Once again, Millets are at the forefront of festival fever. As the only high street store where you could pre-register for Glastonbury tickets, they've been ideally placed to provide the festival goer with all the gear they need, from floral tents and wacky wellies to sleeping bags and Summer of Love brollies. And if anybody forgets anything, don't get strung out - Millets will be at Glastonbury too, helping people pitch tents and selling those overlooked essentials.
We created an eDM to encourage their customers to apply for tickets at their nearest store and receive a 10% discount. For every form received Millets has pledged to donate 10p to WaterAid. Hopefully, they will raise £50,000. |
Welcome on board... Postini
We're delighted to be working with Postini, a global leader in online security and compliance solutions. Postini's "software as a service" protects over 35,000 companies worldwide against increasingly malicious internet-based attacks, whether from e-mail, instant messaging or the web, including Business Objects (another one of our customers), British Nuclear Fuels (BNFL), Heinz, VSO, and 7 of the top 30 global banks. They process over 1 billion messages per day, so they know exactly what's happening on the internet, and stop spam and viruses before they ever enter their customers' network. We're helping them develop a webinar programme and a series of vertical sector eDMs. |
ntl:Telewest Business - they're bigger than you think!
Did you know that ntl:Telewest Business works with 35% of the FTSE companies? Or that they own the largest fibre-optic network in the UK? No? Nor did many of their prospective customers. We set out to demonstrate that ntl:Telewest Business are Bigger Than You Think!
To do this, we built the world's largest* work station in Trafalgar Square, complete with a super-sized desk, chair and computer. The spectacle created a real stir, as well as providing a fantastic photo opportunity for the industry press, whom we'd drawn to the event with a series of teaser mailings and a dedicated 'Bigger Than You Think' microsite.

We get swinging for Action Medical Research
On 19th April, the ladies of dnx donned their posh frocks for a glitzy night at Action Medical Research's 'Swing Ball', rubbing shoulders with the stars and dancing the night away to Tony Hadley and his big band.
But our relationship with Action Medical Research, our nominated charity, isn't all party-party - they also use our skills and services to help raise awareness of their activities, including their 'Bring Your Bear' fun day for schools and nurseries in support of Touching Tiny Lives, a campaign which aims to raise £3 million for new research into pregnancy complications and premature birth.

In the spotlight...
Kate Spencer, our Senior Writer, produces concepts and copy for integrated marketing campaigns, across both B2B and retail accounts. She specialises in translating huge volumes of complex technical information from 'geek-speak' into concise, punchy English, without dumbing down the content.
Like our Creative Director, Simon Fraser, Kate is an avid 'bullfighter'. "We have to remember that our readers are people first, business second", says Kate. "No-one's going to be engaged by the prospect of 'leveraging their knowledge capital!" |
New arrivals... and we're 'under construction'
We're delighted to welcome Daniel Ramsay and Keith Povey to Account Management, Jeff Wright to our Email Marketing department and Mat Johnson to the Digital loft, and last but not least, Nicola Harvey joins us as Office Manager.
Oh, and we've got the builders in creating some much needed additional space! |
