It would be terribly remiss of us to kick off this latest edition of dnxtra without congratulating Europe on yesterday's stunning Ryder Cup victory.

Which neatly brings us on to the fact that we've had a recent win of our own...

The client list grows further

The win in question is a seriously high profile high street company. Blacks, who own the Blacks and Millets outdoor clothing and accessories stores. Offline and online work is already out there! The announcement is in this week's marketing press, but there'll be more news in the next dnxtra.
You'll never present a spreadsheet again!

Xcelsius Butterfly One of our recent projects has been to promote Crystal Xcelsius, a fabulous business tool from Business Objects that turns dreary old spreadsheets into dramatic interactive dashboards, complete with dials, sliders and charts. If you've ever presented a spreadsheet and watched your audience glaze over, Xcelsius is what you need. And it's not expensive!

Our campaign uses a caterpillar and a butterfly, an analogy that perfectly captures the proposition.

Dame Ellen's got nothing on us

Just a few short days ago we competed in the inaugural Anglo Irish Bank Trophy, a 16-team yacht regatta based in Cowes on the Isle of Wight.

Picture of sailing boatRising to the challenge, Tim, Drew and Jonathan agreed to come out of sporting retirement to deploy their vast offshore yachting experience against some serious yachtsmen.

Our team was bolstered by our guest crew members - Louise from Avaya, Tamara from First Great Western, Harriet from Brands2Life, Simon from Business Objects and Robert from Blacks.

A moderate south westerly breeze wafted across both days of the regatta and despite a broken genoa fitting, we managed to finish a very forgettable 13th.

Captain Drew commented "Serving Chablis with pork pies whilst competing on the Solent was great fun. We may have struggled on the water, but we certainly held our own in the evenings."

Our thanks must go to the event organisers EMG and the race officer for an excellent regatta.
In the words of Paul Weller...

...that's entertainment. 5-Star Entertainment in fact, a promotion we've just launched for Grosvenor Casinos. It's a free game held on the hour, every hour at their casinos. Players simply roll 5 eight-sided dice and if they throw 3, 4 or 5 stars, they'll win an MP3 player, a portable DVD player or an LCD TV respectively. It's proving to be a huge success.
New look website...

We've also given our website a makeover. It now includes our latest news, an overview of all our clients and a new extended cloak room. Those pegs were getting a little overcrowded! Take a look and let us know what you think...

...and more new faces

Our creative department is expanding again. Kate Spencer has joined us as a copywriter and has already been running rings around us with her scarily intellectual vocabulary.

Also, our digital team has been bolstered with the arrival of Multimedia Developer Adam Wright and account management has welcomed Account Executive Neil Sharland.

And we now have an agency dog, a Ridgeback called Zola.
We've been nominated!

The finalists for the B2B Marketing Awards 2006 have just been announced and we're delighted to be on the shortlist for B2B Marketing Agency of the Year. We won't find out the winner until November, but until then we've got everything crossed!

Have a good autumn!
