Unbelievably, another year is drawing to a close. And what a year it’s been for dnx! Now 28 strong, things are getting a little cosy in the barn!

OK, we didn’t manage to walk off with the Agency of the Year title at the B2B awards – that honour was conferred on Mason Zimbler – but a good time was had by all and our hangovers were mercifully slight! Needless to say, we shall be back with renewed vigour next year!

  Bringing the great outdoors… indoors!

Blacks Christmas OffersAs you know, Blacks Leisure Group appointed us earlier this year to create and run their e-mail marketing campaigns to drive sales to their Blacks and Millets online storefronts. Since then, we’ve also been managing the recruitment of new subscribers to the site, including mail order and bricks-and-mortar shoppers. In addition, we’ve also been hooking up with partners in related industries to develop bespoke programmes for sharing content and building relationships. Having established a regular programme of email communications for both brands, sales performance is up and so are registered subscriber numbers - result!

Santa's Yule LobGive Santa a hand...

We’ve also created a Christmas game for Millets, entitled Santa’s Yule Lob, in which you have to throw presents down chimneys from a moving sleigh. It’s not as easy as it sounds! You can give it try now – and you could win £250 of Millets vouchers.
Taking our responsibilities seriously

2006 Responsible Tourism Awards We also set up Blacks’ sponsorship of the Best Innovation & Technology Award category at the 2006 Responsible Tourism Awards, supported by Brighton-based Responsible Travel

The ceremony was held at World Travel Market at London’s ExCel. Our very own Neil Sharland (he’s easy to spot – he’s the one who looks about twelve) attended and presented the award on behalf of Blacks to the Bicycling Empowerment Network (BEN) for their work integrating tourism with community welfare in South Africa.
When you can’t face-to-face, WebEx

WebEx is a technology company whose software enables you meet and collaborate with colleagues without leaving your desk. Through your web browser, you can share and work on documents, saving the hassle, time and cost of travelling to meetings. It’s such a great product that we’ve signed up as paying customers!

We’ve been working with WebEx for 3 months, keeping our digital team busy with electronic DMs and online media to implement campaigns for Q4. These include lead generation and customer retention/loyalty initiatives across Europe, developing partner programmes and looking at many new strategic opportunities.

2007 plans are well underway with much more work to be done – all of which needs to be in place before we’ve had a chance to shake off our new year’s hangover!
Simon LancasterSimon’s going the extra mile

Simon Lancaster from Business Objects has just embarked on a 3-month marathon training and fundraising fest before taking part in a tough physical challenge from the west to the east coast of Costa Rica in February in aid of the Prince's Trust. Click here for further information on the challenge itself and the great work the Prince's Trust is doing, or click here if you’d like to sponsor Simon’s endeavours.
New faces

We’d like you to welcome some new additions to the Barn: Senior Account Manager Jo Lane has joined us from Starcom to work on a portfolio of technology B2B accounts while Geminie Patel and Ashley Barrell join us as Account Executives. In the studio, we’re delighted to introduce Senior Designer Liam McCormick and Designer Kandy Boulden. And finally, our digital duo are now a trio with the arrival of Web Developer Mike Ballan.

Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2007!

We’d like to wish all our clients, business partners and friends a very happy Christmas and continued success in 2007.
