Cause Community » Identity & Website

  • Branding and website

Large or small, international or local, well-known or virtually unheard of, all charities share one thing in common: they constantly need extra help and advice to get the job done. It could be in the form of manpower, specialist skills, advice, time or resources, it could be on a regular basis or a one-off, but at some stage they are going to need it.

Cause Community is a portal designed to give charities and not-for-profit organisations access to an international community who can give them the time, skills and resources they so desperately need, free of charge. It could be specialist skills such as help with book-keeping or marketing advice, the use of a mini-bus at the weekend, some second-hand equipment or finding extra volunteers to help with an event, Cause Community is the place to find them.

When they first came to us, all they had was an idea and a lot of enthusiasm. We were more than happy to help them build a brand new identity with a distinctive style and a fun, easy-to-use website.

We created a logo built around ‘helping’ hands, even bringing the hands to life on the main banner of the website. We also divided the website into two separate areas – Give Help and Get Help. On the one hand, charities and not-for-profit organisations can get help by looking for people, advice, resources and support or tie up with other groups. On the other hand, volunteers can give help by offering their time, resources, advice and expertise, or join a project that interests them.

Launched in July 2009, the site has already attracted a lot of response and also acts as a forum, allowing charities to share experiences and initiatives around the globe.
